McAfee Utilities Properties
Befo re using McA fee Utilit ies, you can access the prope rties dialo g box to
customize the way you want its components to display and work on y our
comp uter.From the McAfee Utilities central window, click Options and se le ct
Propertiestodisplaythe Propertiesd ialog box.From thisbox,clickanyof the
tabs displayed to view and select av ailable options.
Common Dialogs tab
The Co mmon Dialogs tab displays options you can sele ct to enable you to get
in and out of applications faster than usual. Select E nable Common Dialog
Enhancements to activate this option. Once this option is activated, you can
further customize the way you access app lica tions via selecting any of t he
following additional options:
• Showrecent files. Selectthis optio n ifyouwanttodisplaylistofdocuments
or files you have recently opened . Click d ocument button to display list.
• Show recent folders.S elect this option if you want to display list of folders
you have recently looked into. Click folder button to display list.
• History List. Use this option to indicate the numb er of files or folders yo u
wantto display in either of the list. Click spin box to set the number of list
to be displayed.
After making your selection, click Apply; then click OK.
Icon Animation tab
Th e Icon Animation tab displays options yo u can select to e nable you to
animate icons on your desktop.
• In the Animation Theme box, select from the drop down menu the type of
animationyouw anttouse(e.g.,Circle,CurrentTheme,Radar,etc.).Notice
that eve nts associated with the animation yo u selected is displaye d on the
lower part of the dialog box.
You can change o r update these events (e.g., w hen deleting , o pening fil es,
select ing files,etc.);eitherdouble - clicka lineentry,orclickOptions.Follow
the s creen instruction s to apply changes.
• Select Show Tray Icon if you want to display tray icon.
• Select Show in Display Properties if you w ant display i cons in display
properties.
After making your selection, c lick Apply; then click OK.
