McAfee Utilities
Window Patterns tab
TheWindowPatternstabdisplaysoptionsyoucanselecttoc ustomizethelook
of app lications o n you r compu ter.
• Select Enable McAfee Utilities Window Pattern s to activa te this o ption.
• Select the application you want to customize from the drop-down menu.
• Select Window Patterns enabled to activate your selection. Notice that a
preview o f your selection is displayed on the lower part of the dialog box.
• If you want to change the pattern of your selection, click Change P attern.
Follow the s creen instruction s to apply your changes.
After making your selection, click Apply; then click OK.
Disk Tools tab
The Disk Tools tab displays options you can set to access McAfee U tilities
properties when you point and right-click drives on your computer.
When this optionis activated, select a drive on your computer; point and
right-clicko n the drive; then select Properties from the d rop-down menu an d
the following tabs are displayed:
General tab displays information o n availab le a nd used spac e on your
computer.
Tools tab d isplays information as to whe n yo u have l ast p erformed a
particulartaskonyourcomputer.Youcanalsoperformseveraltasksfromthis
dialog box.
• Error-checking status displays information as to when you last checked
selecteddrive for errors.You can click CheckNow... to runa checkviathe
ScanD isk dialog box. Follow the wizard to complete the task.
• Backup status displays information as to w hen you last backed upfiles on
selected dri ve. You can click Backup Now... to perform bac kup on this
drive.
• Defragmentation status displays information as to w hen you last
defragmented selecteddrive. You can click D efragment Now... to perform
defragmentation on s elected drive.
McAfeeUtilitiestab displaysin formationastowhenyouhavelastperformed
aparticulartaskonselected driveusingMcAfeeUtilitiescomponents.Youcan
also perform several tasks using these components from this dialog box.
