Disk Minder
Disk Minde r lets you safely, easily, and quickly diagno se and repair ex isting
or potential problems with the disk drives where you save your valuable
application programs and data.
When should you use Disk Minder? Immediately after a system crash or
whene ver you receive a me ssage telling y ou a file cannot be accessed for any
reason, you should use Disk Minderto verify the integrity of the disk
containing that file.The earlier y ou fix a disk problem, the less c hance there is
of it causing a more serious problem down the road.

TIP:WhenyouuseDiskMinder,always createan Undo f ile. Then if t he
rep airscauseanyunexpectedorundesirableresu lts,youcanreverttothe
Undo file so the disk returns to its state before you ran Disk Minder.
Using Disk Minder
You can use Disk Minder in three main ways:
Auto fix errors
Use Disk Minder f or Windows to automatically fix errors. Just start Disk
Minder, s elec t the disk drives t o ch eck, select w het her you wa nt to check t he
disk surface for read errors, select the Fix Errors Automatically Using Default
Valuescheckbo x ,andclicktheStartbutton.Untilthepr ocessiscomplete,you
can walk away from your PC because no further interaction is required.
