Selecting a file category’s check b ox put s that file ca tegory in the Placement
Strategy panel.Youcanh ighlightacategoryint hepa ne l atther ight,andmove
it up or down in the f ive disk r e g ions. For example, if you want to place
recently modified files in the middle region of your disk, click the Rece ntly
Modified Files ch eck box, highlight this category in the Placement St rategy
panel, and move itt o the Middle (light blue) band by c licking the Up or Dow n
Arrow b uttons.
Directory Sort tab
Disk Tune places files into drive regions in the order t hey appear in your
folders,ordirectories.TheD irectorySorttabl etsyouchangetheorderfilesare
placedin the r egion, as w ell as the o r der in which they appear in the folder or
directory.
Global Settings tab
The Global Settings tab l ets you customize t he appearance o f the Hard Drive
map by selectingthe shape of the cluster and sector blocks and the minimum
size of these b locks. You can also enable or disable the McAfee Utilities
Property sheet for supported drives and enable or disable Disk T une in the
Context menu fo r supported drives.

The File Placement tab in Disk Tune’s Defragmentation Options dialog box
lets you specify file characteristics for three types of file categories:
• Recently mod ified files
•Userspecified1
•Userspecified2
