Cleaning the Registry
The R egistry W izard - Clean dialog box appears after you selected the Clean
option and clicked N ext > in the Registry Wizard.
• Sele ct t he item s to clean up and click Finish.
• Registry W izard removes selec ted items fro m the Registry and exits.
Repairing the Registry
Afte r you selected the Repair option and clicked Next > in the R egistry
Wizard, it scans the Registry and displays the Registry Wizard - Repair dialog
box, which lists all invalid entries in the Registry.
You cans tartby clicking theRepair Allbu tton toallowRegistryWizard repair
all the entries that it can. Registry W izard d isplays the Registry Wizard -
Repair Report dialog box .
This Repair Report lists the Registry key entries that Registry Wizard can fix
along with a descrip tion of the file (and its locat ion) that will be used t o repair
each Registry key entry.
Select anyke y entri es that y ou want to fixor n otf ix, then click either t he Fixor
Don’tFixbutton.Theselectedk ey entriesarefixedo r notfixed,and theRepair
Report dialog box closes. The Registry W izard - Repair dialog box reappears,
displaying the remaining key entries that still need to be fixed. You can select
a key entry an d click the Repair button to manually change the value for that
key. Or, y ou can c lick the Advanced button to go to Registry Pro and edit the
orphan entries using the McAfee utility instead of Registry Wizard.
