Scanning Your Wireless Device

n Scan: Initiates an on-demand scan of your wireless device.
n Virus List: Displays a list of all know wireless-specific viruses.
n Settings: Displays the Settings page in which you can configure the
on-demand scanner.
Configurations
How to configure on-demand scanning
1 On the Home screen, tap the VirusScan icon.
2 Tap Settings (or tap Options > Configure On-Demand).
3 Tap the G to display the following options for how you want the scanner
to behave as a virus is detected:
M Prompt user for action: An alert message displays on the device
and waits for your input.
M Clean infection automatically: The scanner cleans or deletes the
virus and continues scanning.
M Continue scanning: The scanner ignores the virus and continues
scanning.
4 Select any of the check boxes to define what the scanner displays during
the scan, which files are scanned, and if you want to record the scanning
activity in a log file.
5 When you have made your selections, tap Done to return to the
VirusScan Home screen.
How to configure on-access scanning
1 On the Home Screen, tap the VirusScan icon.
2 Tap Settings (or tap Options > Configure On-Access).
3 Tap the check box to Enable or Disable On-Access scanning (a checked
check box indicates On-Access is enabled).
4 Tap the G to display the following options for how you want the scanner
to behave as a virus is detected:
M Prompt user for action: An alert message displays on the device
and waits for your input.
M Prevent launching infected files: The scanner prevent the infected
file from running.
