4. Copy Installer and program files to the network
In order for the Installer to find the files needed for downloading, you must
firstcopythosefilesfrom theCD-ROMtoaplaceonthenetworkthatalltarget
computers can access. This can be either an FTP site or a shared folder on the
network.
The files include two MSI (Microsoft Installer) files: one for Windows NT
environments and one for Windows 95 and Windows 98 environments; and
an MCS file, the VirusScan TC program file.
Follow these steps to copy the installation files from the CD-ROM:
1. On the CD-ROM, locate these files:
• INSTMSIW.EXE for Windows NT
• INSTMSI.EXE for Windows 95 and Windows 98
• VSCANTC.MCS VirusScan program file
