You are thereby part of a story that started long ago, when the McCulloch Corporation started its manufacturing of engines during World War II.
IDENTIFICATION OF SYMBOLS WARNING: This blower can be dangerous! Careless or improper use can cause serious or even fatal injury. Use unleaded or quality leaded petrol and two stroke oil. Read and understand the instruction manual before using the blower. WARNING: The blower may throw objects at high velocity that can ricochet and hit the operator. This may cause serious eye damage. Approved protective goggles or visor, ear protection, and face mask in dusty environments must be worn.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS PLAN AHEAD D WARNING: This machine produces an electromagnetic field during operation. Under some circumstances, this field may interfere with active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend persons with medical implants to consult their physician and the medical implant manufacturer before operating this machine. D Always wear eye and ear protection when operating, servicing, or performing maintenance on unit.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS D D D D D D D Disconnect spark plug before performing maintenance except for carburetor adjustments. Use only recommended McCulloch replacement parts; use of any other parts may void your warranty and cause damage to your unit. Empty fuel tank before storing the unit. Use up fuel left in carburetor by starting engine and letting it run until it stops. Do not use any accessory or attachment other than those recommended by manufacturer for use with your unit.
ASSEMBLY CARTON CONTENTS Check carton contents against the following list. S Blower S Upper blower tube S Lower blower tube S High velocity nozzle S Elbow tube S Vacuum bag S Upper vacuum tube S Lower vacuum tube S Screw for vacuum tube assembly NOTE: It is normal for the fuel filter to rattle in the empty fuel tank. 4. Slide the lower blower tube onto the upper blower tube. 5. Turn the lower blower tube clockwise until a click is felt to secure the lower blower tube to the upper blower tube.
ASSEMBLY Rib Groove Tab Slot 5. Insert the elbow tube into the blower outlet. Make sure elbow tube rib is aligned with the blower outlet groove. 6. Turn knob clockwise to secure elbow tube. 5. Push the upper vacuum tube into the vacuum inlet. Turn the tube counterclockwise until a click is felt to secure the tube to the blower unit.
ASSEMBLY 2. Remove the vacuum tubes by turning the tubes clockwise. 3. Close the vacuum inlet cover and make sure it is latched closed. 4. Reinstall the blower tubes (see BLOWER TUBE ASSEMBLY). SHOULDER STRAP ADJUSTMENT WARNING: While vacuuming debris, hold the unit with the muffler side facing away from your body and clothes (see OPERATING POSITION). 2. Pass the shoulder strap over your head and onto your left shoulder. 3. Extend your right arm toward the rear of the vacuum bag. 4.
OPERATION ratio is obtained by mixing 5 liters of unleaded petrol with 0,125 liter of oil. DO NOT USE automotive oil or marine oil. These oils will cause engine damage. When mixing fuel, follow instructions printed on oil container. Once oil is added to petrol, shake container momentarily to assure that the fuel is thoroughly mixed. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.
OPERATION 4. Pull starter rope handle sharply until engine sounds as if it is trying to start, but do not pull rope more than 6 times. 5. As soon as engine sounds as if it is trying to start, move choke lever to HALF CHOKE position. 6. Pull starter rope sharply until engine runs, but no more than 6 pulls. NOTE: If the engine doesn’t start after 6 pulls (at the HALF CHOKE position), move the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE position and press the primer bulb 6 times.
MAINTENANCE A dirty air filter decreases engine performance and increases fuel consumption and harmful emissions. Always clean after every 5 hours of operation or yearly, whichever comes first. 1. Clean the cover and the area around it to keep debris from falling into the carburetor chamber when the cover is removed. NOTE: Move choke lever to RUN position before opening air filter cover. 2. Remove parts as illustrated. NOTE: Do not clean filter in gasoline or other flammable solvent.
STORAGE WARNING: Prepare unit for storage at end of season or if it will not be used for 30 days or more. S Allow engine to cool, and secure the unit before storing or transporting. S Store unit and fuel in a well ventilated area where fuel vapors cannot reach sparks or open flames from water heaters, electric motors or switches, furnaces, etc. S Store unit with all guards in place. Position unit so that any sharp object cannot accidentally cause injury.

MONTAGE 2. Fixez les tubes en tournant le boulon dans le sens horaire. 3. Alignez les fentes du tube de soufflage inférieur sur les languettes du tube de soufflage supérieur. MONTAGE AJUSTEMENT DE LA BANDOU-LIÈRE AVERTISSEMENT: Quand vous aspirez des déchets, tenez toujours l’appareil avec le silencieux orienté du côté opposé à votre corps et vos vêtements. (Consultez POSITION DE FONCTIONNEMENT). 1. Passez la bandoulière par dessus votre tête et mettez--la sur votre épaule gauche. 2. Etendez le bras droit vers l’arrière du sac d’aspirateur. 3. Ajustez la bandoulière jusqu’à ce que la couture du sac à la bandoulière se trouve entre votre pouce et votre index. 4.
FONCTIONNEMENT CARBURANT AVANT DE DÉMARRER LE MOTEUR AVERTISSEMENT: Retirez lentement le bouchon avant de rajouter du carburant dans l’appareil. Ce moteur est certifié pour fonctionner avec de l’essence sans plomb. Avant l’utilisation, il faut mélanger de l’essence et de l’huile moteur refroidi à l’air à 2 temps de bonne qualité dans une proportion de 40:1 (2,5%). La proportion de 40:1 s’obtient en mélangeant 0,125 litre d’huile à 5 litres d’essence sans plomb.
FONCTIONNEMENT FULL CHOKE HALF CHOKE 7. Lorsque le moteur part, permettez--lui de marcher pendant 10 secondes, puis amenez le levier d’étranglement en position «RUN» (étranglement nul). Permettez à votre appareil de fonctionner 30 secondes supplémentaires en position «RUN» (étranglement nul) avant de relâcher la gâchette d’accélération.
ENTRETIEN AVERTISSEMENT: Ne touchez le silencieux que si le moteur et le silencieux sont froids. Un silencieux chaud peut occasionner des brûlures sérieuses. ENTRETIEN Réglage du ralenti Vis de ralenti Laissez le moteur tourner au ralenti. Ajustez la vitesse jusqu’à ce que le moteur tourne sans caler (ralenti trop lent). S Tournez la vis de réglage au ralenti dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre pour augmenter la vitesse du moteur. S Tournez la vis de réglage au ralenti dans le sens inverse à celui des aiguilles d’une montre pour dimineur la vitesse.
TABLEAU DE DÉPANNAGE AVERTISSEMENT: Toujours arrêtez l’unité et débranchez la bougie d’allumage avant d’exécuter n’importe lequel des remèdes recommandés ci--dessous sauf pour les remèdes qui nécissitent que l’appareil soit en fonctionnement. SICHERHEITSHINWEISE D D D Die optimale Saugleistung erzielen Sie bei einer hohen Geschwindigkeit. Bewegen Sie das Saugrohr während des Saugvorgangs langsam über das zu entfernende Material vor und zurück. Führen Sie das Saugrohr keinesfalls direkt in einen Haufen ein, da es dadurch zur Verstopfung des Geräts kommen könnte. Das Saugrohr sollte zur optimalen Leistung beim Saugen ca. 2--3 cm vom Boden entfernt hin-- und herbewegt werden.

MONTAGE EINSTELLUNG DES SCHULTER-RIEMENS ACHTUNG: Betreiben Sie das Gerät beim Saugen immer so, dass der Auspuff von Körper und Kleidung fern gehalten wird (siehe BETRIEBSPOSITION). 1. Stecken Sie den Kopf durch den Schultergurt und legen Sie den Gurt auf Ihre linke Schulter. 2. Strecken Sie Ihren rechten Arm in Richtung Rückseite des Fangsacks aus. 3. Den Schulterriemen so einstellen, daß die Fangsack/ Schulterriemennaht zwischen Daumen und Zeigefinger liegt. 4.
BETRIEB ANHALTEN DES GERÄTS GERÄT BETANKEN ACHTUNG: Entnehmen Sie den Benzintankdeckel vorsichtig für die Brennstoffzugabe. Das Gerät ist für den Betrieb mit bleifreiem Benzin zugelassen. Mischen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme das Benzin mit einem Qualitätsschmieröl für luftgekühlte Zweitaktmotoren im Verhältnis von 40:1. Sie erhalten das Mischverhältnis von 40:1, wenn Sie 5 Liter bleifreies Benzin mit 0,125 Liter Schmieröl mischen. BENUTZEN SIE KEIN Schmieröl für Auto-- oder Schiffsmotoren.
BETRIEB FULL CHOKE HALF CHOKE Choke in die Position RUN (Choke aus) bringen. Lassen Sie das Gerät noch 30 Sekunden in der Position RUN laufen, bevor Sie den Gashebel loslassen. HINWEIS: Wenn der Motor abstirbt, während der Chokehebel sich in der RUN--Position befindet, bringen Sie den Choke in die HALF CHOKE--Position und ziehen an der Leine, bis der Motor läuft, aber nicht mehr als sechsmal. WARTUNG ACHTUNG: Berühren Sie niemals die Auspuffanlage, außer, wenn Motor und Auspuff kalt sind. Die Berührung eines heißen Auspuffs kann zu ernsthaften Verbrennungen führen. ACHTUNG: Die Zündkerze ist vor Wartungsarbeiten zu entfernen, außer bei Vergasereinstellungen.
WARTUNG PRÜFUNG DER HALTESCHRAUBEN DER SCHALLDÄMPFER Prüfen Sie einmal im Jahr, ob die Halteschrauben der Schalldämpfer sicher und fest angezogen sind, um Beschädigungen zu verhindern. Lassen Sie das Gerät im Leerlauf laufen. Justieren Sie die Leerlaufgeschwindigkeit, damit die Maschine läuft, ohne zu stoppen (Leerlaufgeschwindigkeit zu niedrig). S Drehen Sie die Schraube für die Leerlaufgeschwindigkeit im Uhrzeigersinn, um die Motorumdrehung zu erhöhen, falls der Motor stoppt oder abstirbt.

BEDIENING UW MOTOR STOPPEN MOTOR VAN BRANDSTOF VOORZIEN WAARSCHUWING: Verwijder de brandstofdop langzaam bij het opvullen met brandstof. Deze motor is gecertificeerd voor het gebruik van loodvrije benzine. Voordat u bijvult, moet de benzine gemengd worden met een goede kwaliteit 2--cicli luchtgedroogde motorolie die gefabriceerd is om gemengd te worden met een verhouding van 40:1. Een verhouding van 40:1 kan worden verkregen door 5 liter loodvrije benzine te mengen met 0,125 liter olie.
BEDIENING FULL CHOKE HALF CHOKE 7. Nadat de motor gestart is moet u hem 10 seconden lang laten draaien, en daarna de choke op CHOKE AF (RUN).
