12. If an acknowledgement is received the
display shows Distress acknowledge
received for 4 seconds, then the state is
changed to Distress in progress.
13. Distress in progress screen is displayed
after an acknowledgement or if Reset is
pressed.
In the 'Distress in progress' state, the distress
message is not re-transmitted.
14. Wait approximately 15 seconds for an acknowledgement before transmitting a
voice MAYDAY, as described on Page 26 step 4.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT make a distress call unless there is grave and imminent
danger. It is an offence to make any unjustified distress call.
