Precaution & Installation Safety Precautions Before Installation Before installing the air conditioner unit, please read the following safety precautions carefully. WARNING • Installation and maintenance should be performed by qualified persons who are familiar with local code and regulation, and experienced with this type of appliance. • All field wiring must be installed in accordance with the national wiring regulation.
Installation Location & Mounting • This unit is designed for indoor installation only and for air supply ducted application. It is not recommended for non-ducted return air units to be installed at location where noise is critical. • There should be sufficient working space for piping connection, service and maintenance. • Allow sufficient space for filter removal for cleaning. • The unit has a sloping drain panel for water drainage.
Supply & Return Duct • Used good acoustic lined ducts. • It is recommended that return air ducts are installed where noise is critical. • Make sure a flexible duct is installed before connecting to other rigid duct system. • Insulate the duct sufficiently with a good thermal heat insulation to prevent water condensation. • Make sure all ducts are connected firmly to prevent air leakage. If any air leak occurs, the air flow rate will be reduced and performance of the unit will be affected as well.
Cleaning Systems Flushing 1. Prior to first operation of any conditioner, the water circulating system must be cleaned and flushed of all construction dirt and debris. If the conditioners are equipped with water shut off valves, either electric or pressure operated, the supply and return run outs must be connected together at each conditioner location. This will prevent the introduction of dirt into the unit. 2. Fill the system at the city water makeup connection with all air vents open.
Startup Open all valves to full open position and turn on power to the conditioner . 1. Set mode to “Cool”. Set the cooling temperature to the coolest position. Again, many conditioners have time delays which protect the compressor(s) against short cycling. After a few minutes of operation, check the discharge grilles for cool air delivery. Measure the temperature difference between entering and leaving water. It should be approximately 1 1/3 times greater than the heating mode temperature difference.

Servicing And Maintenance • Service and maintenance should be performed by authorized dealer or qualified contractor. • Clean the air filter at least once a month. More frequently is recommended. • Internal components can be accessed through two access service panels. Electrical box placed externally for easy access of electrical components. • Regular checks (once a month) on the water strainer are recommended. Clean the strainer if dirty or clogged. • Check internal compartment for refrigerant leak.
