WHITE CEDAR LOG RAILINGS
Easy to install, easy to maintain, resistant to decay, white cedar
log railings are the perfect accent to your home. Made from
northern white cedar for long lasting durability and strength,
these high quality log railings are ideally suited for exterior
and interior applications. Railing sections are shipped pre-
assembled ready for installation. Individual pieces may also
be ordered.
Specifics: A typical rail section consists of two support posts, an upper and lower rail with
spindles located 7 inches on center. Posts, rails, and spindles have a hand peeled appearance so
diameter varies slightly, giving your log railing a rustic look. Cedar naturally develops checks
and cracks which is an unavoidable process.
Support posts are 5 6 inches in diameter,
with a beveled top. Support posts are
available with two different base styles to fit
your mounting needs. 1. A flush mount
allows a surface mount on top of your floor
or deck. 2. A shoulder cut allows half the
post to rest on your deck or loft floor, with
an 8 inch overlap for a secure fit to the joist.
Rails are 3 ½ to 4 ¼ inches in diameter.
Pre-assembled rail sections will have
spindles already installed. Spindles are 2 to
2 ¾ inches in diameter.

Support posts of a completed log rail section are 40 inches tall with an approximate rail height of
37-38 inches tall. Commercial Height Railings are also available.
Railings may not span more than 10 feet without support posts.
Ordering: Exact measurements are needed when ordering your custom log railing. The same
person who will complete the installation should also take the measurements. For horizontal
rails please provide a neat, clear, bird’s eye view drawing of the area that needs railing. The
drawing does not need to be to scale.
