Information

g) Product without contact protection
• Products without contact protection (e.g. modules, assemblies etc.) are suitable for ins-
tallation in specic devices.
Before the connection and start up of such a product, check that it has appropriate
contact protection, otherwise there is mortal danger from electric shock!!
• All cables must be secured in a suitable manner, and if necessary equipped with a strain
relief.
h) LED Driver
• Depending on whether the LED driver on output has a constant current or a constant
voltage supply, only matching LED lamps and LED lights may be connected.
• LED lamps/lights that work with constant current may only be connected to the LED
driver in a series.
LED lamps/lights that work with constant voltage may only be connected to the LED
driver in a parallel circuit.
• If the LED driver offers the possibility of adjusting the output current or output voltage,
this setting must be made before LED lamps/lights are connected and before the LED
driver is put into operation.
• Always connect the LED lamps/lights to the LED driver before this is connected with the
operating voltage. Otherwise, the LED lamps/lights will be destroyed.
LED lamps/lights may not be replaced during operation. First, turn off the operating
voltage for the LED driver.
• For LED drivers, which are intended to be installed, ensure that there is adequate coo-
ling. Keep enough space around the heat insulation material.
• When connecting LED lamps/lights use only cables with an adequate cross-section
cable (min. 0.75mm). Do not exceed a cable length of 2 m between the LED driver and
lighting.
• As long as LED drivers and LED lamps/lights are not specically marked as dimmable,
no dimmer may be used. Doing so may destroy the LED driver and LED lamps/lights.
i) Product for outdoor use
• The product may be connected, installed and operated only in compliance to its degree
of protection. There may be danger to life from electric shock due to improper handling!
• If terminals or connectors are required, these must also be suitable for outdoor use.
j) Product for indoor use
• The product may be connected, installed and operated only in compliance to its degree
of protection. There may be mortal danger from electric shock due to improper handling!
• Never pour liquids on or near the product. There is a high risk of re or fatal electric
shock.
Nevertheless, if liquid is spilled into the product, immediately turn off the operating vol-
tage from all poles. Consult a specialist. Do not operate the product anymore.
• The product must not get damp or wet. Never operate the product in the immediate vi-
cinity of a bath, a shower, bathtub or similar things. There is mortal danger from electric
shock!
• The product should never be touched, operated, plugged in or unplugged with wet
hands. There is mortal danger from electric shock!
k) Product for permanent mounting
• If the product is intended for screw mounting, then, depending on the subsurface, use
suitable screws or, if necessary, dry wall plugs.
When screwing or drilling, make sure that no cables or wires are damaged.
• The product should not be installed and operated in vehicles, unless if it was specially
designed to be so.
l) Product for installation
• The product must be placed on a level, stable, balanced, and sufciently large area.
Never place the product on carpet.
Protect valuable surfaces from dents or scratches with a suitable base.
m) Product with fan
• Keep away from small or light objects, hairs etc. These can be sucked into the product,
which can lead to damage to the product. In addition, it can also cause injuries or re
hazard!
• Never cover the apertures of the product, since these are required as intake and ex-
haust openings. Otherwise there is a danger of overheating and re!
• When in use, never block the fan.
n) Product with replaceable fuses
• Unplug the product from the operating voltage before replacing a fuse pole.
• Never bridge a fuse, it is a re hazard and can cause a fatal electric shock.
• Replace the defective fuse only with an identical new fuse with the same nominal data.
• If the fuse is tripped again, disconnect all poles of the product from the supply voltage
and then let it be checked by an expert.

Use only with the primary switch. To comply with the requirements of the ErP regulations
for lamps and lights in terms of idle power, if the idle power exceeds the specied limits,
the switch of the power supply must be disconnected from the power.
Maintenance and Cleaning
For the end consumer, the product is maintenance free. Leave any maintenance or repairs to an
expert.
Unplug all poles of the product from the operating voltage before cleaning.
For external cleaning you can use a clean, soft, dry cloth. Dust can be easily removed with a clean,
soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as this may cause discoloration or even
material changes.
Disposal
The product does not belong in household waste.
At the end of its life dispose of the product in accordance with applicable government
regulations; leave it e.g. at a corresponding collection point.
