After powering up, the digital drum will be in KIT menu (KIT
indicator ON ). The display should look like this:
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to select the active kit.
Pressing the Pad Select buttons allows you to preview the
current kit (fixed velocity).
Hit the pads to play the current kit.
Similar to an acoustic drum kit, the digital drum responds
differently to various playing techniques and dynamics. All the
pads are velocity sensitive. And some voices change timbre
depending on the striking force.
Drum Pad Head or Rim shot
The digital drum pad detects head and rim shots (rim shots
trigger the rim voice).
Cymbal Bow shot and Choke
The digital drum cymbals detect bow shot.
Only the Crash cymbals have cymbal choke.
Choking the Crash’s edge with the hand immediately after
hitting the crash mutes the crash sound.
Hi-Hat
The Hi-Hat sound varies depending on the position of the
Hi-Hat pedal:
Strike the Hi-Hat pad without pressing the
pedal.
Strike the Hi-Hat pad with the pedal
pressed halfway down.
Strike the Hi-Hat pad with the pedal
pressed completely down.
Press the pedal completely down without
striking the pad.
Press the pedal completely down and
release it immediately.

Bespeel de pads
Net als een akoestische kit reageert de digitale drum op verschillende
speeltechnieken en dynamiek. Alle pads zijn aanslaggevoelig en sommige
geluiden veranderen van sound afhankelijk van de kracht van de aanslag.
Vel of rimshot
De digitale drum herkent het bespelen van het vel en de rand. De rand triggert
het rim shot-geluid.
Bekken: boog bespelen en choken
De digitale drum herkent het bespelen van de boog.
Alleen de Crashbekkens herkennen choking (afknijpen). Het choken van de
rand van het bekken, onmiddellijk na het aanslaan beëindigt het geluid van de
crash.
Hihat
Het Hihatgeluid varieert aan de hand van de stand van het pedaal:
Open Hihat: Bespeel de Hihat-pad zonder het pedaal in te trappen.
Half open Hihat: Bespeel de Hihat=pad met het pedaal half ingetrapt.
Gesloten Hihat: Bespeel de Hihat-pad met het pedaal volledig ingetrapt.
Sluitende Hihat: Trap het Hihat-pedaal volledig in zonder de pad te bespelen.
Splash: Trap het pedaal volledig in en laat het onmiddellijk weer los.
Na het aanzetten komt de digitale drum in het Kit-menu (KIT-indicator is aan).
Het venster ziet er dan onegveer uit als hiernaast weergegeven.
1. Gebruik de toetsen < en > om de actieve kit te kiezen.
2. Druk op de Pad Selct-toetsen om de huidige kit voor te voor-afluisteren (met
vaste aanslaggevoeligheidswaarde).
3. Sla op de pads om de huidige kit te bespelen.
