6.5. ECO Function (optional)
You will be able to save energy and extend the running time of your battery by de-
liberately activating functions. The ECO Function is switched on or off by means of
the Fn + F2 key combination.
7. Display
7.1. Switching the Display Mode
7.1.1. Safety instructions during the switching process
• Ensure that the cable does not become entangled when changing
the display mode.
• If periphery devices are connected that could be in the way, dis-
connect them before changing the display mode.
7.1.2. Notebook Display Mode
` Use the notebook as a standard notebook PC with the keyboard, touchpad and
touchscreen.
7.1.3. 300° Display Mode
` Use the notebook with the aid of the touchscreen.
` The keyboard and the touchpad will be automatically deactivated.
7.2. Opening and Closing the Display
7.2.1. Notebook Display Mode
The special design of the display hinges keeps the display closed without the need
for an additional catch.
` To open the notebook, fold the display up to the desired position using your
thumb and forefinger.
7.2.2. 300° Display Mode
CAUTION!
Do not fold the display back by an angle of more than 300°.
Always hold the display firmly by the middle when folding it
back, adjusting the position and closing it. Failure to do so may
damage the display. Never use force to open the display.
