Basic Operation
Switching the camcorder on and off
 Open the LC display to activate the camcorder. The camcorder will switch
on. You can also press the ON/OFF button to switch on the camcorder. The
Video LED will shine.
 Press the ON/OFF button or simply close the display to switch off the
camcorder. The Video LED will go out.
Automatic switching off
The camcorder will switch off automatically if no entry has been made for
longer than 3 minutes and no recording is being made.
Changing the operating mode
The camcorder has a Recording and a Replay mode.
The camcorder will be in the Recording mode after you have switched on. You
will be able to take photos or record videos immediately (see p. 26).
 Open the Menu by touching the LC display and tapping on the Replay
symbol
, to change from the Recording mode to the Replay mode. Then
tap on the Video or Photo symbol, according to whether you wish to replay
video or photo recordings.
 Tap on the
symbol or press the Replay button several times, to
change back from the Replay mode to the Recording mode.
