Do not place the device near heat sources (e.g. heaters) which
could affect it.
Do not place naked flames (e.g. lit candles) on or near the de-
vice.
Make sure that the vents are not covered so as to ensure there
is always adequate ventilation.
Do not place any objects on the cables as they may be dam-
aged.
Keep a minimum distance of about 10 cm between walls and
the device or mains adapter. Ensure that ventilation is ade-
quate.
Make sure that the device is not exposed to dripping water or
splashes, and that no objects containing liquid (for example,
vases) are placed on or near the device.
Do not operate the device outdoors, as external elements
such as rain, snow, etc. could damage it.
Keep the device at a distance of at least one metre from
sources of high-frequency or magnetic interference (televi-
sions, loudspeakers, mobile telephones, etc.) to avoid mal-
functions. If malfunctions do occur, find a different place to
put the device.
Major changes in temperature or fluctuations in humidity can
cause moisture to build up within the device due to conden-
sation – this can cause an electrical short circuit.
3.3. Mains connection
Only connect the mains adapter to a mains socket (AC 230
V ~ 50 Hz) that is easy to reach and close to the place where
you have set up the device. The socket outlet must be freely
accessible so that you can unplug the device from the mains
quickly if necessary.
Only use the mains adapter supplied. Never try to connect the
mains adapter to other sockets, as this can cause damage.
