5.2. Inserting the batteries in the remote control
Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
Insert two 1.5 V LR03/AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Observe cor-
rect polarity when inserting the batteries (marked on the bottom of the battery
compartment).
Close the battery compartment.
WARNING!
There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced
incorrectly.
Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent
type.
If you do not use the remote control for some time,
the batteries could leak causing damage.
Remove the batteries from the remote control if the
device is not going to be used for a long time.
5.3. Connections
Before connecting the different parts, switch the radio off using the POWER on/off
switch on the back of the device.
Operation in WLAN mode: Adjust the aerial at the back of the device to get re-
ception.
Operation in LAN mode: Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port.
Operation of the FM/DAB radio: Adjust the aerial at the back of the device to get
reception.
Mains adapter: Connect the plug of the supplied mains adapter to the DC IN
connection and plug the mains adapter into a mains socket (AC 230 V ~ 50 Hz).
LINE-OUT: Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack cable to the LINE-OUT socket, in order
to transfer stereo sound from the Internet radio to other audio devices.
AUX-IN: Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack cable to the AUX-IN socket, in order to
play back stereo sound from other audio devices on the Internet radio.
USB: Connect a USB data medium here, in order to play back audio files from the
data medium on the Internet radio.
Headphone connection: Connect the 3.5 mm stereo jack plug of a set of head-
phones, in order to play back sound from the Internet radio through the head-
phones.
