5.2. Inserting the batteries in the remote control
 Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
 Insert two 1.5 V LR03/AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Observe cor-
rect polarity when inserting the batteries (marked on the bottom of the battery
compartment).
 Close the battery compartment.
WARNING!
There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced
incorrectly.
 Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent
type.
 If you do not use the remote control for some time,
the batteries could leak causing damage.
 Remove the batteries from the remote control if the
device is not going to be used for a long time.
5.3. Connections
Before connecting the different parts, switch the radio off using the POWER on/off
switch on the back of the device.
 Operation in WLAN mode: Adjust the aerial at the back of the device to get re-
ception.
 Operation in LAN mode: Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port.
 Operation of the FM/DAB radio: Adjust the aerial at the back of the device to get
reception.
 Mains adapter: Connect the plug of the supplied mains adapter to the DC IN
connection and plug the mains adapter into a mains socket (AC 230 V ~ 50 Hz).
 LINE-OUT: Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack cable to the LINE-OUT socket, in order
to transfer stereo sound from the Internet radio to other audio devices.
 AUX-IN: Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack cable to the AUX-IN socket, in order to
play back stereo sound from other audio devices on the Internet radio.
 USB: Connect a USB data medium here, in order to play back audio files from the
data medium on the Internet radio.
 Headphone connection: Connect the 3.5 mm stereo jack plug of a set of head-
phones, in order to play back sound from the Internet radio through the head-
phones.
