Getting the Proper Fit
Forearm Crutch: This crutch
should allow you to fl ex your
elbow 15-30 degrees. The
increased fl exion allows your
arm to bear greater weight.
The crutch should contact the
oor 2-4" (5-10 cm) outside
and 6" (15 cm) in front of your
foot. The cuff on the crutch
should sit 1-1.5" (2.5-4 cm)
below the back of the elbow.
