Home communicator – Instrument used in the
patient’s home that receives data from an implanted
heart device and transmits that data to the
Medtronic CareLink network.
Medtronic CareLink network – Internet-based
secure server where transmitted heart device data
is stored so that a clinician can log in and access the
information.
WiFi – A wireless networking technology that allows
computers and other devices to communicate over
a wireless signal.
