Appendix 5: Description of tests
Order of tests
The tests should be done in the order presented, but may be varied at the discretion of the
supervising licensed certifier. However, Tests C, E & F and Test D should be done as early
as possible as these indicate the likelihood of the vehicle passing the other tests.
Test speed
The test speed shall be the vehicle speed registered on the test instrumentation, not on the
vehicle’s speedometer.
