Press the Power Level control (4). The preset power level is defaulted to “8”
when the unit is turned on.

The power levels can be changed to your liking using the “+” and “-” controls
(5/6). Power levels range from 1 to 12.
**We recommend selecting Power Level Mode when steaming food or boiling
water, in order to avoid an overheating error message.

Press the Temperature control (3). The preset temperature is defaulted
to “180ºF” when the unit is turned on.

The temperature can be changed to your liking using the “+” and “-” controls
(5/6). Temperature ranges from 140ºF to 460ºF.
(Temperature stages: 140, 160, 180, 200, 220, 250, 280, 310, 340, 380, 420
and 460ºF).

Please note that the power level and temperature modes can not work
simultaneously on the same hotplate. You can either set your hotplate to
power level mode or temperature mode. The most recently selected function
is active.

The temperature is measured by a sensor underneath the glass ceramic
plate, therefore the displayed temperature can deviate from the temperature
in the pot. We recommend starting with a power level setting first and after
the temperature of the plate has normalized (3 to 4 minutes), switch to
temperature control.
**We recommend selecting Temperature Mode when grilling or deep frying, in
order to avoid an overheating error message.

If a fire should occur on the cooktop, proceed as follows:
► Unplug the appliance (if necessary, switch off the fuse).
► Smother the flames with a large pot lid, plate, moist dish cloth or by using a
fire extinguisher. NEVER EXTINGUISH WITH WATER!
► After the fire has been extinguished allow cooking utensils and the appliance
to cool down and ensure that there is a sufficient flow of fresh air.
► Only qualified electricians, may carry out any repairs.
► If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance and unplug the appliance
to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
► Do not operate this appliance if its power cable or plug is damaged, if it does
not work properly or if it is damaged or has been dropped. If the power cable is
damaged,
damaged, it will need to be replaced by the manufacturer or their service agency
or a similar qualified person, to avoid any dangers.
