Settings – Receiver setup
2) Time difference
When operating the receiver for the first time you should set the derivation between your
local time and the received GMT time (Greenwich Mean Time) by pressing or .
For Central Europe the following settings are recommended:
Winter time: +1.00 hour
Summer time: +2.00 hours
Note: This setting has to be updated at each summertime shift.
3) Menu language
Choose your language by pressing or .
4) Display format
Use or for selecting the screen format of your TV set (4:3, 16:9).
5) Display adjustment
Use or for adjusting the video signal: pan & scan, letterbox, pillar box or centre.
6) HDMI output (optionally)
If your receiver is connected to the TV by a HDMI-cable, than in this line of the menu the
digital video-format is indicated.
Use or for changing the video-format (720x576p, 1920x1080i, 1280x720p).
For an optimal function of the HDMI-connection your TV should use EDID- (Extended
Display Indentification DATA) and DDC-function (Display Data Channel).
If your TV has a resolution of 720x576i (i=interlaced), you will get the best picture quality.
After changing the settings you see no picture. After 2-3 seconds you should see the picture
on the TV, if not, please change the video-format by using or until you can see a
picture.
Press EXIT to leave this menu. For storing your modifications select Yes ( or ), for
keeping the previous settings select No.
Confirm your choice by pressing the OK button.
