8. Using your Answering Machine
The phone can digitally record up to 25 minutes of messages.
The answering machine can be operated from:
the base, see below.
the handset, see page 53.
remotely, from any other DTMF telephone, see page 36.
Via the base
8.1 Switch the answering machine on / o
1. Press Y.
8.2 Listening to your messages
Press L to listen to all messages.
The voice prompt and display tell you the number of the message being
played. The date and time the message was left will be displayed on the
screen.
During message playback, you can select from a list of options.
Press X
to stop listening messages.
Press P or Q to adjust the speaker volume.
Press < to play the previous message.
Press > to play the next message.
Press R to delete the current message.
Note
When in standby, press and hold Rfor 2 seconds to delete all old messages.
Press the left O key to confirm.
8.3 Record memo
This is the voice memo you leave on the answering machine for your family.
1. Press the left O key, scroll Q to

and press the left O key.

and press the left O key.
3. Start recording your memo once you hear the beep, speak your message
into the handset.
4. Press
Save
to stop recording and listen to the memo. To delete your
message, press the right O key.
5. Your family can simply press the left O key later to listen to your memo.
