14. Using your Answering Machine
The phone can digitally record up to 25 minutes of messages.
The answering machine can be operated from:
the base, see page 34
the handset, see below.
remotely, from any other DTMF telephone, see page 55.
Via the handset
14.1 Switch the answering machine on / o

14.2 Listening to your messages
1. If there is a new message, press the left O key and the new message will be
played.
2. If there is no new message, press the left O key, scroll D to
Answ. machine
.
3. Press the left O key, scroll D to select
Play all
.
4. Press the left O key. The voice prompt and display tell you the number of
the message being played and the date and time the message was left will
be displayed on the screen.
5. During playback, press the left O key to display a list of options.
6. Use U or D to change the options.
Repeat
press the left O key to repeat current message.
Next
press the left O key to play next message.
Previous
press the left O key to play previous message.
Delete
press the left O key to delete the current message.
7. Press the right O key to stop playback.
14.3 Record memo
This is the voice memo you leave on the answering machine for your family.
1. Press the left O key, scroll D to

3. Press the left O key, start recording your memo once you hear the beep,
speak your message into the handset.
4. Press
Save
to stop recording and listen to the memo. To delete your
message, press the right O key.
5. Your family can simply press the left O key later to listen to your memo.
