8.3 Daily cleaning
8.3.1 Cleaning program
쎲 Open the appliance door and press the
start button . As a check, you will hear
three signal tones. Afterwards, close the
appliance door again.
쎲 The display will show a menu.
Select the function...
- „mixer unit“, if you only want to have the
mixer unit flushed.
- „brewing system“, if you want to have the
brewing system cleaned.
쎲 After you made your choice, please
press...
- „Enter“, in order to start the cleaning func-
tion or
- „Esc“ to leave the menu.
After approx. 2 minutes in function „brewing
system“, a signal tone and a display message
will request you to insert a cleaning tab:
쎲 Open the appliance door and fold up the
appliance cover .
쎲 Insert a cleaning tab in the slot stack
and fold down the appliance cover again.
Now, you can close the appliance door
again.
Note: Only use MELITTA cleaning tabs
(order No. 19050). Other cleaning agents
may damage the machine.
Observe the safety instructions for clea-
ning tabs on page 23.
쎲 Confirm the insertion of the cleaning tab
with button .
Cleaning will now be continued. After completion
(approx. 5 minutes), the appliance will be ready
for operation again.
