Phase 1

During Phase 1, one bean symbol

is shown on the display.

3 Empty the drip tray and then re-insert it without the coffee grounds

container, and place the coffee grounds container under the

Cappuccinatore. Make sure that the control dial is set to the position

with the „hot water“ symbol

→ The symbol for the water tank lights up.

4 Lift the lid of the water tank (Fig. A, no. 7) and pull the water tank up

and out of the appliance and then empty it completely.

5 Add the descaling agent (e.g. Melitta

ANTI CALC Espresso Machines

liquid descaler) to the water tank according to the instructions on the

packaging.

The total quantity of descaling solution (descaling agent + water) should

not exceed 0.5 litres (see marking line in the water tank).

Warning!

The descaling agent can cause skin irritations

Comply with the safety instructions and the dosing information speci ed on the

descaling agent packaging.

6 Reinsert the water tank.

7 Press the button for steam dispensing

to start the integrated

descaling programme.

→ Phase 1 is completed.
