Before making your first carafe of espresso, we suggest that you let the water brew through the machine two times without coffee, following the instructions. This will thoroughly clean the unit. Making Espresso Coffee 1. Make sure the function knob is in the “OFF” position. Plug the espresso/cappuccino maker into a 120V AC electrical outlet. 2.
