1.1.1. System Requirements

Your new Memorex drive is a high-performance DVD recording device. For optimum per-

formance, Memorex recommends installing your new drive in a high performance PC.

While complying to the minimum requirements highlighted below will ensure proper instal-

lation and operation of the drive, Memorex’s recommended requirements are essential for

high-speed recording.

Recommended Requirements:

IBM PC and compatibles:

• Intel Pentium III 800MHz(Pentium 4 1.8GHz or higher is recommended for fastest

results) or equivalent

• 128MB memory

• Fast hard disk drive with 15 ms or faster access speed

• An available 5.25" drive bay for mounting the drive

• Available IDE controller port

• Windows 98SE, Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP.
