dry place.
Electrical connections
Connect the appliance to the mains power supply (200-240 VAC, 50 Hz).
Make sure the mains plug is pushed all the way into the socket.
Make certain that the appliance operating voltage matches the mains power supply voltage before
you connect the appliance to the mains. Check the details on the rating plate.
q When the appliance is connected to the mains, parts of the appliance are in operation due to the stand-
by function. Use a power socket with a residual current device. Alternatively you can use a high-quality surge
protector suitable for outdoor use.
q To switch off the appliance completely, the mains plug has to be unplugged.
q If the appliance is not being used, unplug the mains plug from the power outlet socket. Take hold of the
plug only, do not pull on the power cord.
q If a thunderstorm is threatening, unplug the appliance from the mains before the storm starts.
q If the appliance is not to be used for an extended period, e.g. before going away on holiday, unplug it
from the mains.

q Do not repeatedly open the lid to check on the food. Every time the lid is lifted, heat is lost, i.e. the food
will take longer to be ready to be served.
