On the 1 x 10 pine board, measure the width of your

bathtub and mark with a pencil.

STEP 1: MEASURE & mark

Cut the pine board where you marked with a miter saw so that

you have a board that will t over the width of your bath tub.

STEP 3: measure 8” pieces Measure and mark two 8” lengths on the 2 x 2 board. STEP 4: cut bottom pieces Cut the two 8” lengths from the 2 x 2 board using the miter saw. STEP 5: sand Lightly sand all the pieces and wipe away the dust with a tack cloth. STEP 6: paint Apply two to three even coats of Serenity Blue chalked paint on the main pine board. Paint the two 8” pieces with the same color paint on all sides expect for one long side which will be glued to the main board.

STEP 8: paint over the stencils Using the Linen White chalked paint, paint over the stencils so that each letter is filled in. Let dry then carefully remove the stencils and painter’s tape. STEP 9: lightly sand After the white paint has dried, use a sanding sponge to lightly sand around the letters and edges of the board without removing too much paint. This gives your board an authentic look. Wipe down with a tack cloth.

STEP 13: Mark for Drilling Measure the length of the Hickory Drawer Pull handles with a tape measurer. On each end of the main board, make a mark where each end of the draw handles will be drilled in. STEP 14: pre-drill Careful not to damage the paint, pre-drill holes where the drawer handles will be attached with a 3/16” drill bit. STEP 15: screw on handles Using a screw driver and screws, attach both of the drawer handles so that the handles are facing upward.
