STEP 1: Cut Legs & Supports First, use the 2” x 2” x 8’ oak board to cut four cart legs. Do this by measuring and marking 30-1/2” from the end of the board and cutting with a miter saw. Then, use the 2” x 2” x 8’ board to create the four leg supports by measuring and marking every 20-7/8” from the end of the board and cutting with a miter saw. Using the 2” x 2” x 8’ board, measure and mark 12” before dividing your board into four 12” long side supports using your miter saw.

STEP 6: Side Supports Place the side supports 3” up from the bottom of the frame and clamp the frame and side support together, securing them with 1-1/4” screws. Repeat this step on the remaining side supports. STEP 7: Create Cutting Lines Transfer the width measurement of the frame legs to the corners of the bottom shelf to create cutting lines. Cut all four corners with a jigsaw and use an orbit sander to smooth out any rough areas on the corner cuts. You can now assemble the bottom shelf.

STEP 11: Attach Top Shelf Pre-drill the frame before assembling the top shelf onto the upper length and side supports. Attach the top shelf with #8 2-1/2” screws, using two on each side to attach to each support. The screws should be fastened from the bottom. STEP 12: Attach Bottom Shelf Assemble the bottom shelf onto the lower length and side supports using #8 2-1/2” screws on each side to attach to each support. The screws should be fastened from the bottom.
