Rear view camera Settings for the 360° camera When you activate this function, the image from the 360° camera is displayed when you select reverse gear. Introduction Entry restriction Access within navigation: For vehicles in certain countries, there is a data entry restriction. The restriction is active from a vehicle speed of above approximately 3 mph (5 km/h). As soon as the speed falls below approximately 2 mph (3 km/h), the restriction becomes inactive. When the restriction is active, certain entries cannot be made. This will be indicated by the fact that certain menu items are grayed out and cannot be selected.

Function activated: after each route calculation, route alternatives are offered that correspond to the local conditions (Y page 83).

Destination input Navigation 70 Set as Intermediate Destination adds the new destination in addition to the existing destination and opens the intermediate destinations list. i The route is calculated using the digital map data. The calculation time depends on the distance from the destination, for example. The calculated route may differ from the ideal route, e.g. due to road works or incomplete map data. Please also refer to the notes about the digital map (Y page 96).
Destination input Select Keyword Search. Search To select Search Options: Options slide 5 the controller, turn and press to confirm. X Select Fuzzy Search, Search POI Search or Automatic Online Search. Search Switch the setting on O or off ª. Error-tolerant search: useful if parts of the address are incomplete or the spelling is unclear. POI search: points of interest are taken into account in the search. Online search: the search is performed via the online functions.

Country-specific differences are possible. Please note that your COMAND system may not be equipped with all the features described. This also applies to safety-relevant systems and functions. Therefore, the equipment on your COMAND system may differ from that in the descriptions and illustrations.
Telephone menu Function restrictions You may have to wait before using telephony via COMAND in the following situations: Rwhen the mobile phone is switched off. Bluetooth® is switched off on the mobile phone Rif the mobile phone has not logged on to a mobile phone network Rif the Bluetooth® function is switched off in COMAND The telephone automatically tries to log on to a network. If no network is available, you may not be able to make a "911" emergency call.
Connecting/disconnecting a mobile phone 104 Symbol ; shows the current signal strength of the mobile phone network. If all bars are filled, you have optimum reception. If the bars are not filled, you have very poor reception or no reception at all. An average 128kbit per second data transfer rate can transfer 56 MB of data in one hour.
