Importing contacts
Conditions
You can import contactsto the address book
from an external Bluetooth
®
device or an SD
memory card.
The Bluetooth
®
device needs to be inside the
vehicle and has to be switched on, activated,
and authorized. It must be able to transmit
contacts and/or vCards via Bluetooth
®
.

Around 900 entries can be stored in the
address book. When the maximum number
has been reached, you can delete existing
entries (Y page 110), and then import new
ones.
Importing contacts

Start the data exchange on the external
device (see the external device's operating
instructions).

Insert an SD memory card.
X
Select Address Book in the address book
using the :=; buttons and
press the 9 button to confirm.
X
Select Download Contacts
and press the
9 button to confirm.
Amenu appears.
X
Select From Mobile Phone, From The
Memory Card or Receive Business
Card(s) and press 9 to confirm.
The contacts are imported.
Deleting contacts
X
With the address book shown, select
Address Book and press the 9 button to
confirm.
Amenu appears.
X
Select Delete Contacts and press the
9 button to confirm.
X
Select one of the following options:
R
Internal Contacts
R
From Mobile Phone
R
From The Memory Card
R
Received Business Cards
R
Delete All
Aprompt corresponding to yourselection
appears.
X
Select Yes or No and press the 9 button
to confirm.
If you select Yes, the contacts are deleted
according to your selection.
If you select No, the process will be aborted.
Operating the telephone using the
multifunction steering wheel
Telephone menu
Introduction
You can operate the telephoneusing the
functions in the "Telephone" menu, provided
you have connected it to the Mercedes-Benz
hands-free system.
The display in the "Telephone" menu depends
on the status of the telephone.

Switch on the telephone and COMAND.
X
Press the V or U button to select the
TEL display.
Telephone is ready to receive calls
Bluetooth
®
interface telephony: whether the
network provider's name is displayed
depends on the telephone connected.
