What to do if …

A Fuel Cap
Open
A loss of pressure has been detect-
ed in the fuel system. The fuel cap
may not be closed properly or the
fuel system may be leaky.
왘 Check the fuel cap (컄 page 279).
If it is not closed properly:
왘 Close the fuel cap.
If it is closed properly:
왘 Have the fuel system checked by an autho-
rized Mercedes-Benz Center.

The on-board voltage is too low. 왘 Start the engine.
The hardtop drive system was shut
down for safety reasons after multi-
ple, consecutive attempts to raise
or lower the hardtop.
After about 10 minutes you can open or close the
retractable hardtop.
왘 Switch on the ignition (컄 page 40).
왘 Repeat the opening or closing procedure.

The retractable hardtop is not com-
pletely opened or closed. The roof
hydraulics will start to lose pres-
sure.
왘 Make sure the retractable hardtop is com-
pletely opened or closed (
컄 page 204).

You have attempted to open the re-
tractable hardtop while driving.
왘 Stop the vehicle in a safe location and try to
open the hardtop again.
