Sport Boat

When rounding turns on
highways or streets, do not
cut corners. Also, go slow
over railroad tracks.
3
Outboard motors should be
tied in place so they will not
tilt or turn due to road shock.
Continuous road shocks may
fatigue the boat steering
system.

Before backing your trailer
into water, disconnect the
light plug from the towing
vehicle to reduce the
likelihood of blowing out
lights when they become
submerged.
BACKING UP TRAILERS
If you have never towed a trailer before, take the time to practice backing
your trailer before using it for the first time. Follow these guidelines when
backing:
• Back slowly and make
small steering adjustments.
• Turn the car wheels in the
opposite direction you want
the trailer to go.
• After the trailer begins
moving, turn the car to
follow it.
• Have a second person
assist you with hand
signals.
