Air Filter

The air filter assembly is a serviceable item and can be

cleaned with warm soap water if required.

AIR FILTER REMOVAL AND CLEANING

1. Loosen air filter clamp screw.

2. Remove crankcase ventilation hose.

3. Remove air filter assembly and disconnect fuel system

module (FSM) purge valve hose by rotating the air filter

assembly and pulling on hose.

4. Wash air filter assembly in warm soap water.

5. Dry filter assembly with compressed air.

6. Apply 4‑Cycle Outboard Oil on rag or towel and lightly pad

air filter element. Wipe off excess oil. Air filter element

should be moist to the touch.
