Flame Arrestor and Related Components
Cleaning
1. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the fitting on the side of the flame arrestor
housing.
2. Remove the flame arrestor.

3. Clean the flame arrestor in water or steam. Dry with compressed air or allow to air dry
completely.
4. Clean the crankcase ventilation hoses. Dry with compressed air or allow to air dry
completely.
5. Inspect the crankcase ventilation hoses for cracks or deterioration and replace if
necessary.
6. Install flame arrestor, nut, and washer. Torque flame arrestor nut.
