6. Repeat step three and four for the 45° stop
screw (57) with a 45° mitre square.
Kerf plate replacement
The kerf plate (58) must be replaced if the slot is
damaged.
1. Unscrew the screws of the kerf plate.
2. Remove the damaged kerf plate from the saw
table (put a screw driver into the slot and lever
the kerf plate out of the table).
3. Insert new kerf plate and screw it down.
Carbon brushes check and replacement

Worn carbon brushes are noticeable by
- irregular running of the motor;
- static in radio/TV while the motor is run-
ning;
- stopping of the motor.
To check or replace carbon brushes:
1. Unplug power cable.
2. Unscrew brush (59) plug (60) from motor frame
with a suitable screw driver.
In the illustration the replacement of the front
carbon brush is shown. The rear carbon brush
is located on the opposite side.
3. Pull carbon brushes out and check. Each car-
bon brush must be at least 6 mm long.
4. Put intact brushes into the brush holder. The
two lugs on the sides of the small metal plate
must fit into the grooves of the brush holder.
5. Replace the brush plugs.
6. Check the functioning of the saw.
