Match wires below to the matching function of each wire on your receiver (refer to instructions supplied with receiver).

The wire colors of your new receiver may, or may not, match the wire colors of the adaptor. Match adaptor and receiver wires by function,

disregarding color.

If present, tape off the Dimmer or Illumination wire on the receiver.

Connect Black wire to Ground wire of new receiver.

Individually tape off any unused wires.

See pages 2 and 3 to make connections with the Red Wire. See page 4 to make final connections for all other wires in the adaptor.

White - Left Front Speaker Positive

Violet/Black - Right Rear Speaker Negative

Violet - Right Rear Speaker Positive

Green - Left Rear Speaker Positive

Yellow - 12 Volts Constant Power

Gray - Right Front Speaker Positive

Gray/Black - Right Front Speaker Negative

Green/Black - Left Rear Speaker Negative

White/Black - Left Front Speaker Negative

Black - Chassis Ground

Blue - Power Antenna

Red - 12 Volts Switched Power (long individual wire)

120 70-9003 Receiver Wiring Adaptor Page 2 STEP 1 -- CONNECT WIRES (continued) BMW and Mini vehicles: Insert the pin (silver) end of the wire into the slot shown in the illustration below. Cut the other end of the wire to the desired length. Strip back insulation on wire 1/2". Connect wire to the 12 Volts switched wire of the new receiver only.

120 70-9003 Receiver Wiring Adaptor Page 3 STEP 1 -- CONNECT WIRES (continued) Cut off pin end and strip back 1/2" If your vehicle requires a fuse tap: A. Remove fuse panel cover. Pull the appropriate fuse for your vehicle listed in the chart on the previous page. B. Test the fuse socket to determine the protected side on the fuse. Make note of the protected side. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical short. C. Cut the pin (silver end) off the wire. Strip the wire back 1/2".

Complete crimp connections for all necessary wires. Generic Illustration E. Be sure to wrap any wires from the Wiring Adaptor that are not necessary (wires with no match from the new receiver) with electrical tape.
