Attention! Let the vehicle sit with the key

out of the ignition for a few minutes before

removing the factory radio. When testing the

aftermarket equipment, ensure that all factory

equipment is connected before cycling the

key to ignition.

DASH DISASSEMBLY KIT PREPARATION 1. Attach the (2) included clip legs onto the radio trim panel using (4) #6 x 3/8” Phillips screws supplied. Note: The clip legs will only go on one way. (Figure A) 1. Unclip and remove the trim panel around the factory radio including the a/c vents. (Figure A) 2. Remove (4) Philips screws securing the factory radio then unclip and remove the radio. (Figure B) 2. Attach the radio brackets to the radio trim panel using (4) #(8) x 3/8” Phillips screws supplied.

KIT PREPARATION 1. Cut the shaded area in the sub-dash to allow room for the aftermarket radio. The metal rear support can be bent out of the way but some plastic at the bottom must be removed for most radios. (Figure A) Continue to Kit Assembly Remove shaded areas (Figure A) REV.

KIT ASSEMBLY ISO DIN radio provision with pocket ISO DDIN radio provision 1. Attach the pocket to the bracket assembly using the (4) supplied #8 x 3/8” Phillips screws. (Figure A) 1. Slide the radio into the completed assembly, and then secure it to the assembly using screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A) 2. Slide the radio into the completed assembly, and then secure it to the assembly using screws supplied with the radio.

CONNECTIONS From the main wiring harness included with the kit to the aftermarket radio: The following (1) wire is only for a multimedia/navigation radio that requires this wire. • Connect the (2) Black wires, the Black wire labeled “CAMERA GROUND”, and also the Black wire from the AX-CAM6V, to the ground wire. • Connect the Blue/Pink wire to the VSS/speed sense wire. • Connect the (2) Yellow wires to the battery wire.

CONNECTIONS(SOLD (CONT.) SEPARATELY) ASWC PROGRAMMING 3.5mm jack steering wheel control retention: • For the radios listed below: Connect the included female 3.5mm connector with stripped leads, to the male 3.5mm SWC jack from the wiring harness included with the kit. Any remaining wires tape off and disregard: • Eclipse: Connect the steering wheel control wire, normally Brown, to the Brown/ White wire of the connector.

INSTALLATION With the key in the off position: 1. Connect the wiring harness included with the vehicle. 2. Locate the factory antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Use the antenna adapter provided to adapt the factory antenna connector to the aftermarket radio. 3. Connect the 12-pin plug from the main wire harness (70-7306) to the AXXESS Steering wheel control interface.

PROGRAMMING THE AXXESS SWC INTERFACE Programming: 1. Press and hold the “Volume-Up” button on the steering wheel, then turn the ignition on. The L.E.D. will start flashing rapidly which means the AXXESS SWC interface is looking for the vehicle and the radio. Note: If the L.E.D. did not start flashing rapidly, press the reset button for 3 seconds. 2. After a few seconds the L.E.D. should stop flashing rapidly, then go out for approximately 2 seconds. 3.

ASWC-1 STEERING WHEEL CONTROL SETTINGS L.E.D. Feedback The (18) Red L.E.D. flashes represent what brand radio the SWC interface believes it is connected to. Each flash represents a different radio Manufacturer. For example, if you are installing a JVC radio, the ASWC-1 will flash Red (5) times, and then stop. Following is a legend that dictates which radio Manufacturer corresponds to which flash. L.E.D.

TROUBLESHOOTING For troubleshooting and customization of the steering wheel controls, visit AXXESSINTERFACES.COM. The Axxess Updater App can also be used. FINAL ASSEMBLY 1. Secure the radio assembly to the dash using the factory screws. 2. Reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly to complete the installation. - Changing radio type - Remapping the steering wheel control buttons - Dual assignment instructions (long button press) Continue to Final Assembly REV.
