REV. 11/2/2018 INSTAX-DSPHNS
ADDITIONAL WIRING & NOTES
AX-DSP-CH5: There will be an extra harness included that will need to be connected to allow
audio from the radio when installing the AX-DSP and a 4-channel amplifier. Newer Chrysler
radios need a load on the speaker lines to provide audio out. This extra harness provides that
resistor load.
AX-DSP-FD2: If the vehicle is equipped with navigation and/or SYNC 3, connect the White and
White/Black wires from the 54-pin harness, (normally found at the LCD screen), to the White
and White/Black wires from the 20-pin harness. Then connect the 54-pin harness to the wiring
harness in the vehicle.
AX-DSP-GMLAN01: Some extra wiring to the factory harness will be required. The White and
White/Black wires from the 20-pin connector on the T-harness will need to be spliced into the
factory wiring. The splicing will be done at the Brown connector behind the radio, on the back
side of the connector (where the wires insert into the it). The wire cavities will be numbered.
Bear in mind that the colors from the Brown connector may not exactly match the picture.

connector. (Figures A & B)

connector. (Figures A & B)
AX-DSP-HD2: Harley Davidson radios come pre-programmed with a preset EQ that cannot
be changed without flashing the radio. Only an authorized Harley Davidson Dealer can flash
the radio and flatten the factory EQ curve. Ask the Dealer to flash the radio to a flat EQ curve.
Without performing this task, the AX-DSP will not sound proper, and be very distorted.
