Substitute leakage current measurement procedure for CLASS I
Ì Select the Sub leakage function.
Ì Set limit value.
Ì Set measuring time.
Ì Connect device under test to the instrument (see figures above).
Ì When appliance has isolated accessible metal parts, use S probe (earth bond
clip), see 5.3.2 Substitute leakage current on class 2 appliances.
Ì For fixed equipment:
• Disconnect mains supply of the fixed equipment;
• Connect L test socket of the instrument to L and N of the fixed equipment;
• Connect PE test socket of the instrument to metallic enclosure of the fixed
equipment.
Ì Press the START key for measurement.
