1 General description
Congratulations on your purchase of the instrument and its accessories from METREL.
The instrument was designed on basis of rich experience, acquired through many years
of dealing with electrictrical appliance test equipment.
The multifunctional portable test instrument OmegaGTPlus / BetaGTPlus is intended to
perform all measurements for testing the electrical safety of portable electrical
equipment. The following tests can be performed:
Ì earth bond resistance,
Ì insulation resistance,
Ì substitute leakage current,
Ì differential leakage current,
Ì touch leakage current,
Ì IEC cord polarity test,
Ì leakage and TRMS load currents with current clamp,
Ì portable RCD test,
Ì functional test,
Ì flash test (MI 3305 OmegaGTPlus only).
The instrument has ability to organize measurements listed above into test sequences
that are perfomed as autotests. Generation of autotests is device-dependent and is
based on requirements of selected VDE 0701 or VDE 0702 standard.
