Long exposure times

It is worth experimenting with exposure times

that are longer than the ﬂash sync speed.

For moving objects, interesting blurring effects

and a corresponding brightening of the fore-

ground can be obtained in a range of approx.

1 second. By the way, the easiest way to ex-

tend the range of a ﬂash unit is to increase the

ISO setting on the camera. To be set at 1600

ISO instead of 100 thus quadrupling the range

of the ﬂash unit.
