7.6 Remote-Slave-Mode (Remote)
The remote mode consists of the modes Controller “CTRL” and Controller Plus “CTRL ”, depending on the camera system used..
To prevent several remote systems in the same room from interfering with each other, there are 4 independent remote channels (CHANNEL/CH 1, 2, 3 or
4). Controller and slave flash units belonging to the same remote system must all be set to the same remote channel
+
CTRL mode
In the “CTRL” mode all slave flash units work in the same group. The setting RMT or RMT2 on the slave flash unit is of no importance in this connection.
The “CTRL” mode is used when the camera integrated flash is used as controller or the particular slave flash unit does not support the “
CTRL
” mode (see
operating instructions of slave flash unit). An external flash unit cannot be used as controller for cameras with an integrated flash, which work in “CTRL”
mode.

The remote mode “CTRL” supports the slave group RMT and the controller
function M (Master). The selection of the settings for these functions is done
using the button. To do so, press the button repeatedly until the
symbol for the desired function is displayed. The desired mode can now be
set with the button. The setting is immediately effective and automati-
cally saved. The light conditions in the remote system can then also be set
(see “General”).

• Set camera to “WL” mode.
• The flash unit integrated in the camera functions automatically as controller
in the “CTRL” function.
• To operate, the external flash unit must be removed and the camera integra-
ted flash folded out or activated.
Setting the remote channel:
The remote channel is automatically set when data is transferred, if the slave
flash unit is mounted on the camera and the camera's shutter release is actua-
ted. Due to the camera system, the selection and setting of the remote channel
can only occur on the slave flash unit, not on the camera!
