19.5 Servo mode
The Servo mode is a simple slave mode in which the slave flash unit always
triggers a flash as soon as it receives a light pulse.
Adjustment procedure for servo flash mode
• Select a mode for the camera flash unit without pre-
flash.
• Press the key repeatedly until "Select" appears
on the display.
• Use the and keys to select the menu item
"Remote". The selected menu item will be highlighted
with a dark bar.
• Press the button and select “Servo” by pres-
sing the and buttons. The setting will take
effect immediately.
• Press the button repeatedly until the screen
returns to the normal display. If the button is not
pressed, the screen will automatically return to nor-
mal display after 5 s.
In general, only the manual flash mode is possible
in the SERVO flash mode.
This is automatically selected after switching the
SERVO flash mode on.

Setting partial lighting or reflector position (MZoom)
• In SERVO mode, press the button repeatedly
until the set partial lighting or reflector position is
shown. By using the and buttons, the par-
tial lighting (for example 1/8) or reflector position
(for example MZoom 50) can be set.
Wait for all of the flash units involved to become flash-ready.
Once the slave flash unit is flash-ready, its AF measuring beam will start blin-
king.
Slave groups and remote channels cannot be set in SERVO mode.
Switching Servo flash mode off
• Press repeatedly until “REMOTE” is shown in
the screen.
• Press the button and by using the button,
select the menu item “REMOTE OFF”. The selected
menu item will be highlighted with a dark bar. The
setting will take effect immediately.
• Press the button repeatedly until the screen
returns to the normal display. If the button is not
pressed, the screen will automatically return to normal
display after 5 s.
