Setting The Internal Clock
The CD-5916’s internal clock is set at the factory for Eastern Standard
Time (observing daylight savings when applicable).
To set the internal clock the steps are as follows:
• Turn on the power to the CD-5916, and wait for the screen depicted
below:

• While this is displayed, press and hold the “8” key until the date appears
on the screen:

• Press the “START/YES” key to accept the current date. To change the
date press the “STOP/NO” key, then enter the new date (Month-Day-
Year) using the number keys on the keypad (the “STOP/NO” key can be
used as a backspace key). Press the “START/YES” key when you are
satisfied with your entry. The time will now be displayed on the screen:

• Press the “START/YES” key to accept the current time. To change the
time, press the “STOP/NO” key, then enter the new time
(Hours:Minutes:Seconds) using the number keys on the keypad (the
“STOP/NO” key can be used as a backspace key). Press the
“START/YES” key when you are satisfied with your entry. The time is
now set and the CD-5916 will continue starting up as usual.
