Error Message Diagnosis
Bad Master
Make sure that the master disc is not
scratched or dirty and that it can be read in a
computer CD-ROM drive or played in a CD
audio player.
Capacity Error
Make sure that the blank media being used
has enough capacity to hold all the
information on the master disc. Remember
that some pressed masters can fit more
information than can a blank CD-R or CD-
RW disc therefore making it impossible to
copy.
Copy Error
Make sure that the blank and master discs are
not scratched or dirty.
Make sure that all of the recorders are loaded
with the same brand of blank discs.
Could also indicate inferior quality blank
discs.
Compare Error
Make sure that the copies are being compared
to the correct master disc.
Only CD-ROM Mode 1, CD-ROM Mode 2,
CD-ROM XA Mode 2 Form 1 and audio
(CD-DA) discs can be compared. The CD-to-
CD TOC compare feature can be used for
other formats.
Could Not Analyze Master
Make sure that the master disc is not
scratched or dirty and that it can be read in a
computer CD-ROM drive or played in a CD
audio player.
Drive Not Ready
Make sure recorders are correctly loaded with
blank discs.
Make sure that all of the read and write status
LEDs on all of the recorders are not
illuminated before pressing the keypad.
