Installation and User Manual E N G L I S H 2.4 Communication Ports Connection of RS232 or USB communication port The RS232 and USB communication ports cannot operate simultaneously. 1. Connect the RS232 (33) or USB (34) communication cable to the serial or USB port on the computer equipment. 2. Connect the other end of the communication cable (33) or (34) to the USB (1) or RS232 (2) communication port on the UPS. The UPS can now communicate with MGE Office Protection Systems power management software.

Installation and User Manual E N G L I S H 2.7 Connection with a HotSwap MBP Module (optional) The HotSwap MBP module makes it possible to service or even replace the UPS without affecting the connected loads (HotSwap function). Evolution 2500 / 3000 1. Connect the input socket (56) on the HotSwap MBP module to the AC-power source using the cable (31) supplied. 2. Connect the UPS input socket (10) to the "UPS Input" (55) on the HotSwap MBP module. 3.
Evolution E N G L I S H HotSwap MBP module operation 51 The HotSwap MBP module has a rotary switch (53) with two positions: Normal – the load is supplied by the UPS, Bypass – the load is supplied directly by the AC-power source. 51 53 UPS start-up with the HotSwap MBP module 1. Check that the UPS is correctly connected to the HotSwap MBP module. 2. Set switch (53) to Normal position. 3. Start the UPS by pressing the ON/OFF button (24) on the UPS control panel. The load is supplied by the UPS.
E N G L I S H Operation 3.1 Start-Up and Normal Operation Press button (24) for approximately 2 seconds. 21 ◗ The buzzer beeps once and all the LEDs go ON simultaneously. ◗ If AC input power is available, button (24) and LED (25) are ON. The load is supplied by the ACpower source. Conditions permitting, the UPS runs a battery test, indicated by LEDs (21) and the buzzer. ◗ If AC input power is not available, button (24) and LEDs (25) and (26) are ON.
Evolution 3.3 E N G L I S H Return of AC Input Power Following an outage, the UPS restarts automatically when AC input power returns (unless the restart function has been disabled via UPS personalization) and the load is again supplied. 3.4 UPS Shutdown Press button (24) for approximately 2 seconds. The devices connected to the UPS are no longer supplied. 24 3.5 UPS Remote Control Functions Evolution offers a choice between two remote control functions.
E N G L I S H Access to Measurements and Personalization Data Insert the Solution-Pac CD-ROM in the drive. ◗ On the first navigation screen, select "Point to Point solution" and follow the instructions on how to install the Personal Solution-Pac software. ◗ Then select "Settings", "Advanced settings" and "UPS settings". Note that the Linux/Unix/MacOS versions of Personal Solution-Pac software do not offer this possibility.

E N G L I S H Maintenance 5.1 Troubleshooting Indication Diagnostic Correction The remote power off (RPO) contact has been activated to shut down the UPS and now prevents restart. Set the contact back to its normal position and press button (24) to restart. 1 When the UPS is started using button (24), all the LEDs go ON once and the buzzer beeps once, then LED (26) remains ON.
Evolution 5.2 E N G L I S H Battery Module Replacement Safety recommendations The battery can cause electrocution and high short-circuit currents. The following safety precautions are required before servicing the battery components: CAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions. CAUTION: Do not open or mutilate batteries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
Installation and User Manual E N G L I S H D. Remove the metal protection cover in front of the battery (two screws). D E. Pull the plastic tab to remove the battery block and replace it. E Mounting the new battery module Carry out the above instructions in reverse order. ◗ To ensure safety and high performance, use only batteries supplied by MGE Office Protection Systems. ◗ Take care to firmly press together the two parts of the connector during remounting.

F R A N Ç A I S Entretien 5.1 Dépannage Problème Diagnostic Mesure 1 Lorsque vous mettez l’UPS sous tension à l’aide du bouton (24), tous les voyants s’allument une fois, puis buzzer l'alarme sonore émet un bip et le voyant (26) demeure allumé. La mise hors tension à distance (RPO) a été activée pour fermer UPS et empêche maintenant sa mise sous tension. Replacez le contact à sa position normale, puis appuyez sur le bouton (24) pour mettre l’UPS sous tension.

Il faut observer les précautions de sécurité suivantes avant de faire l'entretien du compartiment de la batterie : ◗ ◗ Enlevez montre, bagues, bracelet et autres objets de métal sur les mains et les bras, Utilisez les outils avec des poignées isolées. Conecte el cable de comunicación RS232 (33) o USB (34) al puerto serial o USB en el equipo de computación. 2. Conecte el otro extremo del cable de comunicación (33) o (34) al puerto de comunicación USB (1) o RS232 (2) en la UPS.

E S P A Ñ O L Uso 3.1 Arranque y funcionamiento normal Oprima el botón (24) durante aproximadamente 2 segundos. 21 ◗ El zumbador suena una vez y todos los LED se encienden simultáneamente. ◗ En caso que haya alimentación de CA, el botón (24) y el LED (25) estarán encendidos. La alimentación es provista por la fuente de alimentación de CA. En caso que las condiciones así lo permitan, la UPS llevará a cabo una prueba de la batería, indicada por los LED (21) y por el zumbador.
Evolution 3.3 E S P A Ñ O L Retorno a la entrada de alimentación de CA Luego de un corte, la UPS se enciende automáticamente cuando recupera alimentación de CA (excepto se haya deshabilitado la función de reencendido por medio de la personalización de la UPS) y nuevamente se alimenta la carga. 3.4 Apagado de la UPS Oprima el botón (24) durante aproximadamente 2 segundos. Los dispositivos conectados a la UPS ya no reciben alimentación. 24 3.

E S P A Ñ O L Mantenimiento 5.1 Solución de inconvenientes Indicación Diagóstico Corrección 1 Cuando la UPS se enciende utilizando el botón (24), se encienden todos los LED y el zumbador suena una vez, luego el LED (26) se mantiene encendido. El contacto del apagado remoto (RPO) ha sido activado para apagar la UPS y ahora impide encenderla nuevamente. Coloque el contacto nuevamente en su posición normal y oprima el botón (24) para encender nuevamente.
Evolution 5.2 E S P A Ñ O L Sustitución del módulo de la batería Recomendaciones de seguridad La batería puede producir la electrocución y alta tensión de cortocircuito. Se deben seguir las siguientes precauciones de seguridad antes de hacer servicios a los componentes de la batería: ◗ ◗ Quítese el reloj, anillos, brazaletes y cualquier otro objeto metálico de las manos y brazos, Use herramientas con las manijas aisladas. Os dois suportes para a posição vertical são usados somente na versão RT 2U. 2.3 Instalação do modelo Rack É aconselhável primeiro instalar o módulo da bateria e então o módulo de energia acima. Siga as etapas 1 a 4, para a montagem do módulo em trilhos. Os trilhos e o hardware necessário são fornecidos pela MGE Office Protection Systems.

Conecte o cabo de comunicação RS232 (33) ou USB (34) à porta serial ou USB no computador. 2. Conecte a outra extremidade do cabo de comunicação (33) ou (34) à porta de comunicação USB (1) ou RS232 (2) do no break.

A energia é fornecida pela fonte de alimentação AC. Se as condições permitirem, o no break executa um teste da bateria, indicado pelo led (21) e pela campainha.
Evolution 3.3 P O R T U G U E S E Retorno de energia por entrada de AC Após uma interrupção de energia, o no break é automaticamente reinicializada quando a energia de alimentação AC retorna (a menos que a função de restauração tenha sido desativada por meio de personalização do no break) e a energia passar a ser fornecida novamente. 3.4 Desligamento do no break Pressione o botão (24) por cerca de dois segundos Os dispositivos conectados o no break não mais recebem energia. 24 3.
