Use and Care Manual

Taking care of outdoor furniture doesn’t have to be a hassle. If you keep up regular maintenance, it is
not hard at all. You can use an oil finish, a wood lacquer, or even a varnish. However, if you use a
varnish, while maintenance is low, once its time to reapply, there is a lot of sanding involved.
For an oil finish, you can use teak oil, Tung oil, linseed oil, etc. Oils will soak into the wood and offer
protection from the inside.
Where you keep your furniture is also important. Indoors away from the weather is best, but of course
they can be used outside. They should be in minimal sunshine, and in a spot that is not wet all the time
is best. Sun will cause more damage than water because oak is more moisture resistant than other
woods. If you are in an area with harsh or wet winters, consider storing the furniture or buying a cover.
